Wassel freight and customs clearance services works to speed aid convoy to Palestinian refugees in Syria

Under the auspices of His Excellency Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian National Authority, a 17-truck relief convoy was dispatched to the Palestinian refugee camps in Syria on Monday, August 6. The joint relief effort was sponsored by Palestinian businessman and philanthropist Munib R. Masri and a number of Palestinian businesses. The convoy departed from the Muqata in Ramallah and travelled to Jordan under the supervision of Wassel personnel. The Embassy of Palestine in Jordan supervised the transfer of the relief supplies to UNRWA personnel in Damascus. Thirteen trucks were packed with foodstuffs, 3 trucks carried flour and 1 truck was filled with medicine and medical supplies Wassel’s participation allowed the convoy fleet to make the journey from Ramallah to Damascus in less than 24 hours.
